Team Awesome Guide Service was out on the big lake chasing Small Mouth Bass and Lake Trout. Very windy and choppy on the first day but caught several nice smallies. Went out of public launch in Erie and fished down channel to the Bay. Once in the bay drifted in 4-6' of water and caught some smallies on tubes. Switched to Lakers out on the Mountain. First day was tough not really finding the fish. We did lose a very large fish that broke a swivel. Second Days things turned on locating the fish at the correct depths was key. Many fish seemed to be moving to deep water. The big fish was hooked in 87' of water. The rest were caught around 60'. We kept three all in the 10pound range and landed a 16.5# for our biggest. The fisherie seems to be in good shape and was beautiful as always. Can't wait to get back up there for one last try and then start to think about some walleye. The rougher it got the more the fish started to feed. Will report next week from Sundays trip up. Keep it wet. AGJ
